Surveyors across the region are reporting a notable increase in the number of homes coming to the market, helping to address long-standing supply challenges and giving buyers more choice.
In January, a rising number of new properties were listed for sale compared to recent months, and interest from prospective buyers also climbed. Across a broad cross-section of respondents, more agents reported an uptick in both new instructions from sellers and sales activity.
This shift comes after years of constrained stock and high demand, and it’s creating a more balanced market environment. Surveyors remain optimistic about prospects for 2026, with many expecting further increases in sales activity over the coming months.
With increased supply and continued buyer interest, desirable homes in sought-after locations remain attractive propositions, and quality developments continue to be snapped up quickly.
